The 44th Annual Greater New York Scholastic Chess Championships!

10 am,  January 30th or 31st, 2010

     The New Yorker Hotel,  481 Eighth Avenue at 34th Street, New York City.

      Four separate, one-day chess tournaments, two are on Saturday and two are on Sunday, open to Grades K-12! Each tournament is five games in one day. Primary (K-3) and Junior High (K-9) on Saturday Jan 30th, 10 am; Elementary (K-6) and High School (K-12): Sunday January 31st, 10 am.

EACH TOURNAMENT IS AN ADDITIONAL ENTRY FEE! 

Example:  One player who is playing in one tournament on Saturday and one tournament on Sunday is a total of TWO entries in the shopping cart.  Two players in one event on one day is TWO entries in the shopping cart.  Two players who are each playing in one event on Saturday and one event on Sunday is FOUR entries in the shopping cart. 

      ON-LINE ENTRY FEE: $46 per player thru Jan 15, $53 per player Jan 16-25. ON-SITE ENTRY FEE: $65 per player BEFORE 9:15 am on day of tournament (players registering after 9:15 am skip the first round).  See our website at www.chesscenter.cc for full details on all the prizes, entry fees, deadlines, and refund policy. Email questions to: chesscentr@aol.com (or call 845-569-9969). 

    Entry fee refunded, less $15 service charge per player, to players who notify us at least one hour before game time that they will withdraw from the tournament. To withdraw from the tournament before 8 pm January 28,  email: chesscentr@aol.com. 

      U.S. Chess Federation membership dues are forwarded to the USCF--  USCF membership dues are non-refundable.   The Official January 2010 USCF Ratings are used for this event.

    IMPORTANT:  Players who are not current USCF members must also purchase a (required) USCF Membership, in addition to the tournament entry fee, in order to participate in any USCF-rated tournament in the United States (including the Greater New York Scholastic Chess Championships).  If your membership is not current (thru at least 1/31/2020), PLEASE BE SURE TO ADD "USCF MEMBERSHIP" FOR EACH PLAYER WHO IS NOT A CURRENT USCF MEMBER, TO YOUR ORDER ABOVE-- BEFORE PROCEEDING FURTHER!
